FOR CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR
AFFORDABILITY
California is one of the most unaffordable states. Our average rent is 2,700 dollars per month and the state minimum wage is $16.50 per hour without specific pay per job. You would need a 64 hour week just to pay your rent. California is the 4th largest economy in the world and yet we have one of the most massive wealth gaps.
We need to reinvest in our citizens, add a higher minimum wage and add price caps on big corporation. We need to have Universal Healthcare. As a past student, we need to reinstate loan forgiveness programs and tie it to civic action. We need to give incentives and economic help to first homeowners.
I will fight the TRUMP tax tariffs. The tariffs will add an average spending of $2400 per year for every American, now think what that price will add to in California.
In California we have many issues which is why I will work on expanding the California Conservation Corps, to be able to provide more jobs, and cater to building houses, converting vacant lots and doing environmental work.
Yet, I will fully tax the rich as they need to pay their share. We need to up the tax on corporations as much as we did in past as they were what helped build our infrastructure. Everyone needs to pay their share, and I denounce the 1 trillion dollar tax cut Trump instated. We will help prop back up the middle class by adding programs to help young emerging families, students and people in need.
We will give incentives to small businesses by subsidizing some industries. I plan to add infrastructure to that will help make it more affordable, such as high speed rail, and more bike lanes and more walkable cities which are shown to increase business. I plan to help give power to the Unions so that they may protect their workers and give them the pay that they deserve.
